Vision

Vision: We are The Body of Christ, made in His image and shaped in His likeness. We consist of many unique parts but together we are one.

Mission: As The Body Church, we are called to the ministry of reconciliation. We minister to those who are lost, hurting, distressed and discontented, with the gospel of Jesus Christ, ultimately leading them to an authentic relationship with God. We are committed to help people:

1) Find their identity in Christ

2) Embrace their uniqueness

3) Discover their God-given purpose

4) Find where they fit in The Body of Christ

5) See their true value

6) Grow spiritually

7) Develop into mighty men and women of God

The Body Church is:

One Body, many parts– a community of believers from all walks of life, unique in God-given individual expression, and united in Christ- “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” – (1 Corinthians 12:12-13 NKJV)

Dedicated to One Lord– a community of believers fully submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, growing in the knowledge of Christ, and committed to understanding and doing the will of God- “…Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.”  – (Ephesians 5:23b NKJV); “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.” – (1 Samuel 15:22 NKJV); “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” – (2 Chronicles 16:9 NKJV); “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” – (John 4:23-24 NKJV)

Empowered by One Spirit!- a community of believers activated by God’s Spirit for transformational living, to carry out the will of God throughout the earth and to demonstrate His love for all mankind“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – (Acts 1:8 NKJV); “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” – (Romans 8:14 NKJV); “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world… If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.” – (1 John 4:4, 12-13 NKJV)

Our Core Values

Our calling is to build a community and culture of people who value God’s presence, are strong in faith in Christ, and are walking in the fullness of their purpose. We achieve this by emphasizing these five core values:

The Body Church is a praying church. Jesus said in Matthew 26:40, “Could you not tarry with Me for just one hour?” A lifestyle that incorporates prayer and fasting helps us to understand what the will of God is for our lives. We believe a strong prayer life is a master key to unlocking doors of spiritual and actual victory in a believer’s life.

We believe in living a lifestyle of worship to God. This means honoring God in everything we do, wherever we may be. Worship is more than just a song, so in addition to our songs of worship, we worship with each unique expression God has given us. Creation sings His praises and so will we.

Like the Bereans of the early Church, we study and meditate on the scriptures so we can rightly divide between truth and error. The words that come from God are Spirit and Life. Having understanding of God’s Word and knowing how to wield it as the Sword of the Spirit makes it a mighty weapon in the hands of any believer!

God said, “It is not good that man be alone.” We were created to have relationship and community with one another. We care for one other, share with one other and are accountable to one other. Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJV – “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

David writes in Psalm 27:8 NKJV- “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek’.

In  the same spirit, we seek to create an environment that fosters the desire for a deeper relationship with the God of Creation among each believer. The Body Church is “The Meeting Place”, where one can meet with God.
